In the press: DACA recipients officially eligible to buy affordable homes in Teton County

Last week, the Jackson Town Council and Teton County Commissioners unanimously passed a housing regulation change to allow Deferred Action Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients to qualify to purchase affordable housing in Teton County.

While there are some restrictions surrounding this change, DACA recipients who have lived in Teton County and worked for a Teton County business for at least one year are eligible to qualify.

Support for the change was heard during public comment.

“Our DACA recipients are, by both virtue of their humanity and by legal definition, a valuable and essential part of our community,” said Attorney at Law Reilly Ward.
